Decking
Like many other garden features, decking has evolved recently with the availability of hardwoods with exotic names like Ipe, Massaranduba, Yellow Balau and Bangkirai. We believe these to be a far more attractive design option than the standard pine deck we all know and love (or hate!).
The hardwoods have the advantage of being less slippery in wet and frosty conditions, have a wonderful smooth surface rather than the grooving that traps water and grows mould, and can be clipped together underneath so that no screw or nail heads are on view.
Matching railings and balustrades, or even toughened glass surrounds can give your deck a cool contemporary look.
As a design option, decking has unlimited possibilities from giving the illusion of extending your kitchen or living room into the garden, to forming meandering walkways.
